Jacob Rohner AG founded. Purchase of machines for industrial-scale manufacture of socks and tights.

Breakthrough achieved with renewal of entire machine park. Rohner brand henceforth synonymous with quality in socks.

Move to new premises in Balgach

1988
Last descendants of Jacob Rohner AG sell entire company, including weaving and embroidery departments and sock factory to Forster Rohner AG.

1989
Subsidiary set up in Portugal for hand-linking, packing and labelling of socks knitted in Switzerland.

1992
Embroidery and weaving departments and sock factory split up into separate firms.

2000
Jacob Rohner AG sold by Forster Rohner AG to Ylatex Holding AG (Lion Gruppe).

2001
Jacob Rohner AG purchases Séance Mode AG, taking over the Séance and Flexy tights labels.

2002
Construction of new high-rack warehouse with 10,500 storage units and capacity for 700 pallets. Rohner guarantees 48-hour delivery within Germany. Rohner acquires share through Warner Bros of brands such as Harry Potter and is currently official purveyor of socks, caps and scarves for UEFA Euro 2008.

2008
Jacob Rohner AG taken over by Bremtex BV in Oisterwijk, Netherlands, on 1.1.2008.
